The entrance to CJM Raceway is nestled in the woods off a very narrow access road.  Trailer and RV parking is limited to the top area inside the track gate.  The track is located down in a little open valley and to get to the track there are very narrow trail roads through the woods.  That's why there's an "Up Road" and a "Down Road" to the track and thank goodness no one mixed them up on Sunday, otherwise it could have gotten "ugly"!

Kids always find joy in the simplest things, like riding in the back of the pickup truck or "The Shuttle", as it was called, through the woods back and forth to the track.   That and a snow cone was the highlight of my three year old's day!  

The track itself is pretty sweet with a clay sand mix and a variety of different size doubles to make it interesting.  It was dry but held up well throughout the day.  This is a track that really brings meaning to the term "roost".  On some of those turns, the roost was flying!  Unfortunately, the race turnout was a little down, but overall it was a great day of racing!
